Analysis of genomic imprinting in barley

Description

Cereal endosperm is a key source of energy for humans. Endosperm development requires a balanced contribution of the maternal and paternal genomes. This ensures normal expression of imprinted genes and suppresses parental conflict.

The aim of this project is to functionally characterize selected imprinted genes in barley using a mix of genetic molecularmicroscopic, and bioinformatic methods.
