New publication: Comparative analysis of epigenetic inhibitors reveals different degrees of interference with transcriptional gene silencing and induction of DNA damage
Annotation:
In this paper, we compared the effects of several epigenetic inhibitors on transcriptional gene silencing, stability of DNA, chromatin, and chromosomes. We found that all drugs cause DNA damage, which is repaired by multiple pathways. Our study suggests a link between the formation of DNA damage and cytidine-analogs induced DNA demethylation.
